Article ID: 892139 - Last Review: November 21, 2006 - Revision: 1.3 FIX: An out-of-memory condition occurs when you run a query against a cube that contains calculated cells in SQL Server 2000 Analysis ServicesBug #: 14533 (Plato7x) On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you run a query against a cube that contains
calculated cells in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services, memory usage increases for the
Msmdsrv.exe server process. The memory usage increase will vary depending
on the number of calculated cells that are defined in the cube and the number of queries
that you run. When the server's memory cleaning operations occur, the memory usage does not decrease. Therefore, an out-of-memory condition
occurs for the Msmdsrv.exe server process. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the memory that has been allocated for cell
formula operations is not being released at the end of the query
operation.
