you start a Microsoft COM+ application on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based
computer, an access violation may occur in Comsvcs.dll. No event is logged
in Event Viewer when this problem occurs. CAUSEThis
problem occurs because Comsvcs.dll may not correctly initialize a critical
section. The access violation occurs when the system tries to delete this
improperly initialized critical section. RESOLUTIONHotfix rollup package informationThis issue is fixed in the COM+ hotfix rollup package that is discussed in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 896720.
