SYMPTOMS

A resource types a zero in his or her timesheet to update the actual number of hours worked. Then, the resource submits the updated timesheet. When the resource does this, the resource manager does not receive a timesheet approval notification in Microsoft Project Web Access (PWA) in Microsoft Office Project Server 2003. Additionally, the update does not appear on the Approve Timesheets page after the timesheet has been approved by the project manager.

893087  (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893087/ ) Description of the Microsoft Project Server 2003 post-Service Pack 1 hotfix package: January 28, 2005

Note After you apply this hotfix, the problem that is described in the "Symptoms" section is fixed for the situation where the resource types a zero in his or her timesheet to update the actual number of hours worked, and then submits the updated timesheet. However, if a resource presses BACKSPACE or DELETE in his or her timesheet to remove the actual number of hours worked, and then submits the updated timesheet, the resource manager does not receive a timesheet approval notification in Project Web Access.
