the Favorite Folders pane in Microsoft Outlook. You notice that an incorrect
number of unread items is displayed for the public folder. To resolve the
problem, you install the hotfix that is described in the following Microsoft
Knowledge Base article:

An incorrect number of unread items may be displayed for public folders when you use Outlook with Exchange Server 2003
Then, you run the following command to repair
any inconsistencies:isinteg -s servername -test folder -fix In this scenario, an incorrect number of
unread items is still displayed for the public folder in the Favorite
Folders pane. For example, the number of unread items may be displayed
as one or more even though there are no unread items in the public folder. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
