Bug #:473694 (SQL Server 8.0) Bug #: 471104 (SQL Server 8.0) Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2000 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2000 fix release. SYMPTOMSWhen concurrent applications or multithreaded applications try to call the
sp_addlogin stored procedure, two SQL Server user logins may be created for the
same user. These user logins have the same user names and passwords. However, these user logins have
different security identification (SID) numbers. This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
