If you connect an InfraRed Data Association (IrDA) compatible mobile telephone to the Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, you receive the following message:If you follow these steps, the Found New Hardware Wizard starts and you are prompted to install the Classic Mobile Phone driver:
This problem occurs if either of the following conditions are true:
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

Important Some IrDA compatible mobile telephones may not be compatible with the Classic Mobile Phone driver. After you install this hotfix, Classic Mobile Phone driver compatible mobile telephones silently install the Classic Mobile Phone driver. If the problem is not resolved after you install this hotfix, download the most current mobile telephone driver from the phone manufacturer Web site.
