The Dell Media Experience program starts unexpectedly when you use the mouse tilt wheel to scroll to the right

SYMPTOMS

When you try to scroll to the right by using the tilt wheel on the mouse, the Dell Media Experience program may start unexpectedly. This behavior also occurs when you use the keyboard to scroll up or down.

Note This behavior can occur on any mouse or with any combination of desktop hardware that uses the Tilt Wheel technology.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, disable the PCMService.exe process so that it does not load when you start your computer. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, and then click OK to open the System Configuration Utility.
  2. On the Startup tab, click to clear the PCMServices check box, and then click OK.
  3. Click Restart to restart the computer.
