This article describes how configure Microsoft Windows Media Player to automatically download codecs to your computer so that you can view a meeting that was recorded in Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005. This article also provides a link so that you can manually download the codecs.

To play a Live Meeting 2005 recording, the Aclep.net audio decoder and the Microsoft screen codec video decoder V7 codecs must be installed on your computer. Depending on the version of Microsoft Windows and of Windows Media Player that are installed on your computer, you may have to download one or both of these codecs to view recordings in Live Meeting 2005. Typically, codecs are automatically downloaded when you first try to view a meeting that was recorded. However, if the codec does not automatically download, you may have to configure Windows Media Player. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start Windows Media Player.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. On the Player tab or on the General tab, click to select the Download codecs automatically check box.
  4. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.
