SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, you successfully validate an X12 4030 format 810 schema. However, when you test a map that uses this schema, you receive the following error message:
Native serialization error: target format: [5 t used] document: [810 004030DEFAULT X ], (msgnr:1 segnr:0)(line:1 pos:0 filepos:0) error 47 [The target document in this mapping is not recognized. Check the mapping.]

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Prerequisites

You must have both the following packages installed to apply this hotfix:
  • BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1 (SP1). For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

  • Base EDI Adapter build 4.0.2140 or a later version. Base EDI Adapter 4.0.2140 is contained in the hotfix package that is mentioned in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
