SYMPTOMS

When Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 experiences heavy network traffic, the Microsoft ISA Firewall service may unexpectedly quit (crash).

CAUSE

This problem may occur if ISA Server 2000 experiences heavy network traffic from client computers that are configured as SecureNAT clients. In this situation, an access violation may occur during the Wspsrv.exe service.

Note You may experience this problem if you publish a server behind ISA Server 2000 that experiences heavy network traffic.
