You must install other Office applications to use some features in InfoPath

INTRODUCTION

You can install Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 and Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 on any computer that meets the system requirements for InfoPath. However, to use some features of InfoPath 2007 or of InfoPath 2003, you must also install other applications from the corresponding Microsoft Office System. You must also install a 2007 Microsoft Office suite or a Microsoft Office 2003 suite.

To use the following features of InfoPath, you must install other applications from the Microsoft Office System on your computer.
To export information from InfoPath to Microsoft Office Excel by using the Export to Microsoft Office Excel command on the File menu, you must install Excel.
To send information from InfoPath in e-mail by using the Send to Mail Recipient and Send Form as Attachment commands on the File menu, you must install Microsoft Office Outlook.
To notify other users by using the Notify Users button in the Publishing Wizard when you publish a form template, you must install Outlook.
