On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you run the sp_GetRemoteServerName stored procedure in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1 (SP1), you may receive an error message that is similar to the following: Msg 7403, Level 16, State 1, Server servername, Line 2
Could not locate registry entry for OLE DB provider 'MSDASQL'.
OLE DB error trace [Non-interface error: Provider not registered.]. For example, you may receive this error message when you run the sp_BackupAllFullSchedule stored procedure. The sp_BackupAllFullSchedule stored procedure calls the sp_GetRemoteServerName stored procedure. This problem occurs when SQL Server is installed on a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows Server 2003. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
