If you try to change your password on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, you may receive the following error message:
The system cannot change your password now because the domain is not available.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
