You may encounter a slow performance issue that causes any program to stop responding for several minutes on a computer that is running Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003

On a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows Server 2003, you may encounter a slow performance issue when Message Queuing is updating data files. This issue causes any program to stop responding for several minutes, only if the program is using Message Queuing.
This issue occurs because Message Queuing generates too many disk I/O requests in some specific conditions.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2.
