You may experience a memory leak in the non-paged pool memory when you mount more than 20 databases in Exchange Server 2003Article ID: 897707 - View products that this article applies to. On This PageSYMPTOMSIf
you mount more than 20 databases in Exchange Server 2003, you
may experience a memory leak in the non-paged pool
memory. When the
server
that is running Exchange Server 2003 runs out of
non-paged pool memory, the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service may stop responding. If
an Exchange Server 2003 server in a cluster environment runs out of non-paged
pool memory,
a
failover
may occur. CAUSEThis issue occurs because the Information Store process leaks
thread handles and event handles if
more than 20 databases are mounted. RESOLUTIONService pack informationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server 2003. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:836993
