Issue that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

A connection point is unexpectedly added to the new shape when you use the Move Shapes wizard to duplicate a shape

Consider the following scenario. You use the Line tool, the Arc tool, or the Freeform tool to draw a one-dimensional shape. When you use the Move Shapes wizard to duplicate the shape, the new shape is not the same as the original shape. An additional connection point is unexpectedly added to the middle of the new shape.

This issue occurs after you install the hotfix that is documented in the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The hotfix that is documented in article 891578 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base contains a regression. The regression causes one-dimensional shapes to appear incorrectly when you use the Move Shapes wizard.
