SYMPTOMS

You may find that the Inetinfo.exe process may use 100 percent of the CPU resources on a Windows 2000 Server computer that is running Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) query of the global catalog (GC) returns large data sets. The query process tries to handle the large return of data sets and uses all the CPU resources.
