SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario: You insert a CD or a DVD

Media Player then tries to automatically play the CD or the DVD. However, you
may receive the following error message: An internal
application error has occurred. CAUSEThis issue may occur if the
computer has been upgraded from a
version of Windows
that
included an earlier version of Windows
Media Player.
In this scenario, a Windows Media Player version conflict occurs. Specifically, the earlier version of Windows Media Player automatically starts and then tries to play
the CD or the DVD.
