Article ID: 900401 - Last Review: October 25, 2006 - Revision: 3.5 The Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 Administrator Console reports display incorrect dataOn This PageSYMPTOMSIf you view the software update reports under
Reports in the Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003
Administrator Console, some reports display incorrect data. For example,
reports such as the Software updates for a specific computer report display
incorrect data if a software update that applies to an SMS client computer no
longer applies. In this example, you install the software update on the SMS
client computer so that the software update is no longer
applicable. When this symptom occurs, the status information for the software update is deleted for all client computers when the updated SMS client computer reports inventory. CAUSEThis problem occurs if the software update status table
incorrectly deletes rows from the PatchStatusSummary table in the SMS database.
In this case, when specific rows in PatchStatusSummary table no longer apply to
a single computer, the rows are deleted. Therefore, the rows in the
PatchStatusSummary table have been deleted for all SMS client
computers. RESOLUTIONService pack informationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Systems Management Server 2003. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:885643
