RESOLUTION

This problem was first fixed in a hotfix that is now contained in a service pack. If you installed the latest Office 2003 service pack, you do not have to install the hotfix.

Description of the Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix package

Important For this hotfix to work, you must use MFCMAPI to delete PR_FOLDER_VIEWLIST (0x36EB0102) from the Inbox folder. This forces Outlook 2003 to recompute the list of views and to recache it in the property. Alternatively, you can use \Cleanviews. This deletes all existing views, but any new views will not have this problem.
