SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. Debug information is stored in program debug database (.pdb) files. You try to read a .pdb file by using the Microsoft Debug Interface Access Software Development Kit (DIA SDK) that is included with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003. In this scenario, an access violation may occur. You experience this problem when the .pdb file contains a Fortran array data structure. Typically, the access violation occurs when you try to access the bounds of the array.

Note The DIA SDK helps you access debug information that is stored in .pdb files. These files are generated by Microsoft post-compiler tools.
