SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 with Service Pack 1 (SP1), you try to open a Web page that dynamically downloads a script from a URL. However, the script is not downloaded, and you receive the following error message:

Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

CAUSE

This problem may occur when either of the following conditions is true:

The script cannot be downloaded from the URL that is specified. For example, the script does not exist at this URL.
The URL that is specified is not available. For example, the URL is invalid.

RESOLUTION
