Notes- Only the Korean language versions of the Windows operating system are affected by this vulnerability. East Asian language versions of the Windows operating system include the affected Korean language Input Method Editor (IME), but are only vulnerable if the Korean language IME is enabled. If you are running any other language version of the Windows operating system, you only have to install this security update if you have installed and enabled the Korean language IME.
- Only the Korean language versions of the Microsoft Office 2003 products that are listed in the "Applies To" section are affected by this vulnerability. However, if you have installed Microsoft Office Proofing Tools 2003, you have to install this security update even if you did not specifically install the Korean Proofing Tools component.
Service pack information
The problem that is addressed by this security update is now corrected in Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3).
