SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario: You use the Computer Management feature on a Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)-based computer to connect to a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer. Then, you click Disk Management to access Logical Disk Manager on the Windows Server 2003-based computer. In this scenario, you may receive the following error message:
You do not have access rights to Logical Disk Manager on computer CAUSE
This issue occurs because of changes that were made in Component Object Model (COM) permissions and in DCOM permissions in Windows XP SP2. For more information about changes to functionality in Network Protection Technologies in Windows XP SP2, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
