On This PageSYMPTOMSAfter you start the SMTP service in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1), the inetinfo.exe process uses lots of memory. Memory usage continues to increase until the SMTP service is unresponsive. The actual memory leak may occur several minutes or several days after the SMTP service starts. CAUSEUnder certain conditions, the SMTP service may stop deleting domain entries that are allocated to unique domains. RESOLUTIONService pack informationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows Server 2003.
