How to move data in Sybari Antigen for Microsoft Exchange and in Sybari Antigen for SMTP Gateways
Antigen stores program settings, scanning activity information, and the Quarantine folder on the file system. To move this data after you install Antigen follow the steps in one of the following sections as appropriate.
Antigen for Microsoft Exchange 8.0 and Antigen for Microsoft Exchange 7.5
Note Do not perform this procedure for clustered Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 servers.
Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
Stop the following services. To stop a service, right-click the service, and then click Stop:
All Microsoft Exchange Server services
The SMTP service
All Antigen services
Create a folder in the location in which you want to move the files.
Note If you are working in a cluster environment, the new folder must remain on the shared cluster drive on which Exchange Server is installed.
Move the Quarantine folder and all the files that have an .adb file name extension to the new folder that you created in step 3.
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sybari Software\Antigen for Exchange
Double-click the DatabasePath registry entry, and then type the path of the new folder in the Value box.
Note If you are working in a cluster environment, change this registry entry on both nodes.
Restart the services that you stopped in step 2.
Antigen for SMTP Gateways 8.0 and Antigen for SMTP Gateways 7.5
Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
Stop the following services:
All SMTP services
All Antigen services
Create a folder in the location in which you want to move the files.
Move the Quarantine folder and all the data files that have an .adb file name extension to the new folder that you created in step 3.
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sybari Software\Antigen for SMTP
Double-click the DatabasePath registry entry, and then type the path of the new folder in the Value box.
How to move data including the Quarantine database and the Virus Incidents database in Sybari Antigen for IM 8.0 and in Sybari Antigen for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 8.0
If you are running Antigen for IM 8.0 or Antigen for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 8.0, you can also move the Quarantine database and the Virus Incidents database. However, if you move these databases, you must also move all the related databases and support files for Antigen to correctly function.
To move data including the Quarantine database and the Virus Incidents database, follow these steps:
Create a folder in a new location. For example, create the following folder:
C:\Moved Quarantine
On the server that is running Microsoft Live Communications Server (LCS), click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
Stop the following services as appropriate:
Antigen for IM 8.0:
The AntigenRTCProxy service
All Antigen services
Antigen for SharePoint Portal Services 8.0:
All SharePoint Portal Server services
All Antigen services
Copy the existing Quarantine folder to the new folder that you created in step 1. For example, the new path of the existing Quarantine folder will be C:\Moved Quarantine\Quarantine.
Note The Quarantine folder contains the Quarantine database. By default, the Quarantine folder is located in the following path as appropriate:
C:\Program Files\Sybari Software\Antigen for IM\Quarantine
C:\Program Files\Sybari Software\Antigen for SharePoint\Quarantine
Move the following files to the folder that you created in step 1:
ProgramLog.txt
Incidents.mdb
AntigenHRLog.txt
All .adb files
Note If you are using Antigen for SharePoint Portal Server, also move the Notifications.mdb file to the folder that you created in step 1.
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey as appropriate.
Antigen for IM:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sybari Software\Antigen for IM
Antigen for SharePoint:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sybari Software\Antigen for SharePoint
Double-click the DatabasePath registry entry, and then type the path of the new folder in the Value box.
