INTRODUCTION

Microsoft distributes software updates in service packs. Service packs help keep a product current. Additionally, service packs extend and update the functionality of the computer.

Service packs include updates. They may also include system administration tools, drivers, and additional components. These components are conveniently bundled for easy downloading.

You do not have to install Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP1) before you install Content Management Server 2002 SP1a. However, you must install Content Management Server 2002 SP1a before you install Content Management Server 2002 SP2.
