However, you can successfully start the Microsoft Office Live Communications Server MMC from other computers. Therefore, you cannot manage Live Communications Server 2005 from specific computers in your organization. CAUSEThis problem occurs if the computer from which you try to start the Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 MMC cannot contact the computer that holds the PDC Emulator operations master role in the root domain of your Active Directory directory service forest. Note Operations master roles are also known as flexible single master operations or FSMO roles. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install the software update that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article: 911996
