  8. If you are copying or moving content, you will be asked to select the storage device to which you want to copy or move the content.

If you are deleting content, you will be prompted to confirm the deletion.

Note Before you can copy or move saved games, you must sign in with the profile associated with the saved games.

To transfer multiple items at once

Another way to transfer content is to use the Transfer Content option, which was introduced with the Spring 2010 Dashboard update. The Transfer Content option allows you to transfer multiple items between storage devices.
  1. Follow steps 1 through 4 above to select the source storage device. When you are at the content type selection screen, press the Y button on your controller to transfer content.

To reduce the amount of content that is slated to be transferred, highlight a content type, press X to clear all items from the highlighted content type, or press A to view the individual items for the content type.

Highlight the item you would like to deselect and press A. When you have reduced the amount of content to fit onto the destination device, the Space Available bar will change from red to green.

Additional notes
  • The transfer will start automatically if you attach an Xbox 360 Transfer Cable to one of the USB ports on your console.
  • The transfer process might take several hours to complete, depending on the amount of content you are transferring.
  • The Xbox Dashboard is not available during content transfer.
  • If the transfer is interrupted for any reason, the content will remain on the source storage device. You can restart the transfer process at any time until the process is complete.
  • You might need to transfer licenses for some of your content before you can use that content on the new device. For information about transferring content licenses, please visit www.xbox.com/drm (http://www.xbox.com/drm) .
