SUMMARY

This article describes how to connect an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to your Xbox 360 console.

The Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking N Adapter is compatible with both the original Xbox 360 console and the Xbox 360 S console. If you connect the adapter to an Xbox 360 S console, it will disable the internal wireless N feature of the console. Using the adapter may improve signal strength and bandwidth if your wireless access point is far from your console.

MORE INFORMATION

To connect the adapter to your Xbox 360 console

  1. Attach the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to the back of your Xbox 360 console by snapping the plastic tabs on the adapter into the slots on the back of your console.

Note The Xbox 360 S console does not contain these slots because the console has internal wireless capability. However, in some cases, the Wireless N Networking Adapter will offer stronger range and bandwidth compared with the internal wireless feature of the Xbox 360 S console. If you are using the Wireless N Networking Adapter with the Xbox 360 S console, extend the feet of the adapter to allow the adapter to sit on the console or to the side.
