Each USB port on the Xbox 360 console provides an over-current protection mechanism to reduce the chance of damage. An over-current situation may occur if the USB device that is attached to the Xbox 360 console tries to draw too much power from the USB port. In these situations, the USB port will temporarily turn off to prevent damage. The USB port will reset after the device is disconnected.
