When you try to eject a disc, your disc tray opens but the disc remains in your Xbox 360 console

SYMPTOMS

When you try to remove a game disc or other disc from your Xbox 360 console, the tray opens, but the disc is not ejected.

CAUSE

The disc may be stuck if the console was moved during use, or if there is something sticky on the top of the disc.

THINGS TO TRY

1.If your Xbox 360 console is positioned vertically, move it so that it's horizontal.
2.Press the eject button on the console to open the tray. After the tray opens, press the button again to close the tray. Try to dislodge the disc by opening and closing the tray a couple of times.

3.If the disc is still stuck in the console, Microsoft may have to service the console.
