When you have the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SDK and the Microsoft MSDN Express Library installed, one product on the computer may lose content if you uninstall the other product.

Note This problem depends on the order in which you install or uninstall the products.

This problem occurs because the MSDN Express Library and the .NET Framework 2.0 SDK share the following three files:

•	Dv_fxmancli.hxs
•	Dv_fxmclictl.hxs
•	Dv_fxmclignrl.hxs

Typically, the MSDN Express Library and the .NET Framework 2.0 SDK install shared files to the %programfiles%\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\MSDN Express Library\LanguageID folder.

Note LanguageID represents to a language ID. For example, the language ID for English is 1033, and the language ID for Japanese is 1041.

These three files are installed and registered to different locations instead of the same location. The product that you installed last registers these three files to a particular location. If you uninstall the program that you installed last, these three files may still be registered to point to a location that no longer exists.

For example, the following behavior may occur:

•	You install the MSDN Express Library.
•	You install the .NET Framework 2.0 SDK.
•	You uninstall the .NET Framework 2.0 SDK.
•	The MSDN Express Library stops functioning correctly.

To resolve this problem, repair the program that is experiencing the problem. To do this, use one of the following methods:

Repair the MSDN Express Library

1.	Click Start, click Open, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
2.	In the Add or Remove Programs window, select Microsoft MSDN 2005 Express Edition, click Change/Remove, and then click Repair.

Repair the .NET Framework 2.0 SDK

1.	Click Start, click Open, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
2.	In the Add or Remove Programs window, select Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SDK, click Change/Remove, and then click Repair.
