SYMPTOMS

When you try to remove the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, you may receive the following error message during the removal process:

CAUSE

A custom action in the uninstall process for the .NET Framework 2.0 returns a value which is not ERROR_SUCCESS. This causes the uninstall procedure to return the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.

RESOLUTION

There is no resolution to this problem. The .NET Framework is correctly uninstalled and the error may be ignored.
