SYMPTOMS

When an application that was developed for Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2 calls the SendMessageTimeout function multiple times, you may receive an exception error message.

This problem only occurs if a call to the SendMessageTimeout function is executed before another call to the SendMessageTimeout function returns. The uTimeout parameter value and the number of top-level windows determine the maximum total delay.

Prerequisites

This update is supported only if all previous updates for this product are installed.

Restart requirement

After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu. You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this update. You must restart the IDE after you apply this update.
