FIX: The Windows CE .NET 4.2-based DHCP client may not release IP addresses as expected after you apply the software update that is mentioned in KB article 900465
Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 900465 describes a software update to resolve a problem where provisioning errors occur on the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server when the Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2-based DHCP client sends duplicate client IDs for DHCP option 61 and for the MAC address of the network adapter.
After you apply the software update that is mentioned in KB article 900465, the Windows CE .NET 4.2-based DHCP client may not release IP addresses as expected.

This software update is supported only if all previously issued software update for this product have also been applied.
Restart requirement
After you apply this software update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
