From a remote desktop session, you exit a Microsoft HTML application (HTA) that is published as a program on a Terminal Server. The Terminal Server is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003. After you exit the HTA program, it may appear to close. However, the Mshta.exe process that runs the HTA program does not close, although the process stops responding.
This problem occurs because the Mshtml.dll file does not receive the correct Windows message to close. This problem occurs when an HTA is run as a published program in a Terminal Services environment.

Steps to reproduce the problemTo reproduce this problem, save the following code to a file that is named Test.hta. After you do this, use a remote desktop Terminal Services session to host the Test.hta file as a published program under the Mshta.exe process.
