SYMPTOMS

When you try to use your Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter, the LED indicator on the adapter may not illuminate. This article provides some steps that you can follow to troubleshoot this issue.

CAUSE

This issue may occur for one of the following reasons:

Your wireless adapter may not be connected correctly.
Your wireless adapter is malfunctioning.

THINGS TO TRY

Make sure that the adapter is connected to your Xbox 360 console correctly.
Make sure that your Xbox 360 console is turned on.
Try to connect the adapter to another USB port on your Xbox 360 console.
If the issue is still not resolved, reset the network settings on your Xbox 360 console.

Note You may have to reconfigure any network settings that you have previously configured after you reset the network settings.

To do this, follow these steps:
1. In the System section of the Xbox Dashboard, select Network Settings, and then select Restore to Factory Defaults.
2. When the Xbox Guide appears, select Test Xbox Media, or select Test Xbox Live to reset the network settings on your Xbox 360 console.
