Xbox 360: The Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter LED does not illuminate

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter, the LED indicator on the adapter may not illuminate.

CAUSE

This issue may occur when one of the following conditions is true:
The wireless adapter may not be connected correctly.
The wireless adapter is malfunctioning.

THINGS TO TRY

1.Verify that the adapter is connected to the Xbox 360 console correctly.
2. Verify that the Xbox 360 console is turned on.
3.Try to connect the adapter to another USB port on the Xbox 360 console.
4.If the issue is still not resolved, reset the network settings on the Xbox 360 console.
Note You may have to reconfigure any network settings that you have previously configured after you reset the network settings.
a. In the System section of the Xbox Dashboard, select Network Settings, and then select Restore to Factory Defaults.
b. When the Xbox Guide appears, select Test Xbox Media or select Test Xbox Live to complete the reset procedure.
If these steps do not correct the issue, the adapter may have to be repaired.
