SYMPTOMS

You try to use the /integrate switch to integrate hotfix 900725 into Microsoft Windows XP installation source files that are integrated with Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). After you do this, you receive an access violation error. This error occurs if other hotfixes are already integrated into the installation source files.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

To apply this hotfix, you must have a Windows XP installation source that is integrated with Windows XP SP2.
