Xbox 360: Thumbnails or music file icons are not correctly displayed from a digital device

SYMPTOMS

When you access images or music files on the Xbox 360 console from a digital device such as a digital camera or a music player, thumbnails or preview images are not correctly displayed in the Xbox Dashboard. For example, when you connect a digital camera to your Xbox 360 console, a thumbnail of a picture on the camera may appear as an icon with three dots.

When this issue occurs, the Xbox Dashboard screen may appear to freeze without text displayed on the screen.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if the portable digital device is disconnected when the pictures or music are previewed on the console. Microsoft is working to resolve this issue.

THINGS TO TRY

1.Restart the console.
2.Connect the device to the console and then turn the device on.
3.Make sure that the portable digital device is always connected to the console when you load or pictures or music.
4.Only disconnect the device when pictures are not being loaded for thumbnails, or when music lists are not being displayed.
