INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to push back an aircraft from its parked location to the taxiway in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century of Flight.

MORE INFORMATION

Typically, the aircraft that are parked at an airport gate are large, such as Boeing 777, Boeing 747 and Boeing 737. These aircraft must be pushed back from the gate before they can taxi to the runway. In real-life situations, the aircraft are pushed back from airport gates by using small tractors.

In Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century of Flight, you must push back your aircraft from the parked location before you request the ATC for clearance to taxi to the runway.

To push back an aircraft from its parked location to the taxiway, follow these steps:
  1. Press SHIFT+P to push the aircraft straight back.
  2. To turn the tail of the aircraft to the left, press the 1 key.
  3. To turn the tail of the aircraft to the right, press the 2 key.
  4. To stop the aircraft, press SHIFT+P.
Note Do not use the numeric pad keys to push back the aircraft.
