SYMPTOMS

When you log off from a Terminal Services session on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based terminal server, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
Stop 0x000000AB SESSION_HAS_VALID_POOL_ON_EXIT
Note Windows Server 2003 SP1 is included in x64-based versions of Windows Server 2003.

Service pack information

You receive the following error message on a blue screen:
Stop 0x000000AB SESSION_HAS_VALID_POOL_ON_EXIT (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
This error message indicates that a session unload occurred when a session driver still held memory.

The four parameters in the error message correspond to the following descriptions.

1The session ID
2The number of paged pool bytes that are leaking
3The number of nonpaged pool bytes that are leaking
4The total number of paged and nonpaged allocations that are leaking
Note The number of nonpaged allocations are in the upper half of this word. The number of paged allocations are in the bottom half of this word.
