Analysis Services by using a Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) connection string that uses the CustomData property, the connection fails. You may receive the following
error message: Errors in the OLE DB provider. An
error occurred while named instance information was being retrieved from the
SQLBrowser service on the 'sdeb-dev-ness' server. Unable to open connection. The CustomData element at
line , column (namespace
http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/engine) cannot appear under
Envelope/Body/Execute/Properties/PropertyList. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server uses an
incorrect namespace value for the XML for Analysis (XMLA) property information. RESOLUTIONService pack informationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
