SYMPTOMS

On a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, you remove a smart card after the logon window appears. After you do this, you are not logged off, or the workstation is not locked. The behavior occurs even if the value of the

ScRemoveOption

registry entry is set to 2 (Force logoff) or to 1 (Lock workstation).

RESOLUTION
