How to enable the hotfixWarning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.Note After you enable this hotfix, users will be unable to print data in Microsoft CRM 3.0 or in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Professional Edition for Service Providers. Additionally, users will be unable to export data from Microsoft CRM 3.0 or Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Professional Edition for Service Providers to Excel. Only the Dynamic PivotTable function and the Dynamic Worksheet function will be available to users in Excel.
How to create an alternative databaseNote Before you follow the instructions in this article, make sure that you have a complete backup copy of the database that you can restore if a problem occurs.To create an alternative database, you must back up the Microsoft CRM 3.0 database regularly and then restore the database from the backup. For example, you could back up the Adventure_Works_Cycle_MSCRM database and then restore it as Adventure_Works_Cycle_MSCRM_Alternate. Note How frequently you back up the Microsoft CRM 3.0 database depends on how frequently new records are added or old records are removed. For example, you could back up the database nightly.
