SUMMARY

If someone uses your gamertag, they could damage your stats in an Xbox LIVE game. However, you can set a pass code to prevent other users from using your gamertag. A pass code is a four-button sequence that you enter by using your Xbox controller.

By default, you do not have a pass code associated with your gamertag. This article provides step-by-step instructions that you can follow to set an Xbox LIVE pass code. This article also tells you how to remove a pass code.
