You cannot perform a copy operation to a redirected serial port in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1

SYMPTOMS

On a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1), you may receive the following error message when you perform a copy operation to a redirected serial port at a command prompt:
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
Note This problem does not occur on a Windows Server 2003-based computer without SP1 installed.

RESOLUTION
