Consider the following scenario. You receive a meeting cancellation for an occurrence of a recurring meeting in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. You open the meeting cancellation, and then click Remove from Calendar. The meeting appointment is removed from your calendar. However, when you view your calendar later, a new unexpected meeting appointment is scheduled for the canceled occurrence of the recurring meeting. The appointment time status is marked as Free. Additionally, the subject line of the appointment is Canceled: original subject name.
This issue may occur if both the meeting recipient and the recipient's delegate process the meeting cancellation.

In the scenario that is described in the "Symptoms" section, the recipient opens the meeting cancellation first and then clicks Remove from Calendar. Then, the delegate processes the meeting cancellation because the meeting cancellation was also delivered to the delegate's mailbox.
