On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you open a document in Microsoft Office Word 2002, 2003, 2007 or 2010 the page numbers are incorrectly displayed in the table of contents. For example, the number two is repeated for all page numbers. Alternatively, the number three is repeated for all page numbers after page three. CAUSEThis behavior occurs if all the following conditions are true:
WORKAROUNDWhen you send a Word document as an e-mail attachment, make sure that you save the document in normal or print layout view before you send the document. To work around this behavior, use one of the following methods. Method 1: Turn off reading layout view
Method 2: Turn on all formatting marks
Method 3: Manually update all the page numbers
Method 4: Repaginate the document
