When you use Microsoft Project Web Access to view a task in Microsoft Office Project Server 2003, the values for actual work and remaining work in Project Server 2003 do not match the values for actual work and remaining work in Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003.

This issue may occur in different scenarios. For example, this issue occurs if you update the task in Project Web Access and then click
Cancel when you receive the following message:
Updates on this project have been completed. You should save the project to have the changes committed. Do you wish to save now?
Note This issue does not occur if you click
OK when you receive this message.

To work around this issue, you must republish work assignments and overwrite the work that was entered by resources. To do this, follow these steps:
| 1. | Start Project Professional 2003. |
| 2. | Open the project plan that has the inconsistent Actual Work and Remaining Work values. |
| 3. | On the Collaborate menu, point to Publish, and then click Republish Assignments. |
| 4. | Click to select the Overwrite actual work entered by Resources check box, and then click OK. |
